The combination of 10 hour fuel moistures around 8 to 10 percent relative humidities around 30 to 39 percent, and wind gusts around 20 to 25 mph will lead to an increased risk for the rapid spread of wildfires on Monday. Residents and visitors are urged to properly dispose of cigarette butts, matches, and any other flammable items in appropriate containers. Additionally, exercise caution if operating any equipment that could create sparks and keep vehicles off of dry grass. Most dry grasses, dead leaves, and other tree litter could easily ignite and spread fire quickly. Lastly, remember to obey local burn bans. Hazard Mill Campground was once a camping area in the George Washington National Forest, situated in Warren County, Virginia. The campground has been permanently closed by the U.S. Forest Service and no longer operates as a public camping facility. The site previously offered primitive camping without developed amenities. No water, restrooms, or other facilities were available at this location. The area is no longer maintained or managed as a campground by the Forest Service.
Directions
From McCall, Idaho, travel five miles west on Highway 55. Turn right on Goose Lake Road/Forest Road #257. Follow the paved road past Brundage Mountain Resort, where the road turns to gravel. Continue approximately 18 miles to the campground.
