About

Heyburn Park is an Army Corps of Engineers campground situated on Heyburn Lake in Creek County, Oklahoma. The facility features 46 campsites with 30 or 50 amp electric and water hookups, making it suitable for RV camping. Amenities include a 2-lane boat ramp with courtesy dock, large swim beach with picnic tables, playground, dump station, and two group shelters with one offering 50 amp electric hookups. The campground lies in a picturesque setting of grasslands and gently sloping, sandstone hills covered with oak trees and scattered with hickory, ash, elm, and cottonwood. In spring, flowering wild plum and redbud trees add color to the landscape. Heyburn Lake is popular for boating, water skiing, and fishing, with common catches including crappie, bass, and catfish. Heyburn Public Hunting Area encompasses more than 6,000 acres of project lands surrounding the lake, providing hunting opportunities for squirrel, rabbit, quail, waterfowl, wild turkey, and whitetail deer during season. The park enforces nightly gate closures from 10pm to 6am. Located about 30 miles southwest of Tulsa and 9 miles east of Bristow, the campground offers easy access to Green Country attractions.
