About
Heyburn Park is a well-equipped USACE campground situated on the shores of Heyburn Lake in Creek County, Oklahoma. The campground offers 46 campsites with water and electric hookups, with some sites featuring 50-amp service. Site sizes vary considerably, with some accommodating RVs up to 90 feet while others are better suited for smaller rigs up to 35 feet. The park includes both back-in and pull-through sites on gravel driveways. Facilities include two restroom and shower buildings, a large swim beach with picnic tables, a two-lane boat ramp with courtesy dock, playground, and two group shelters. Metal fire rings are provided at campsites. The swim beach and associated facilities are designated alcohol-free and pet-free zones, though pets are permitted elsewhere in the campground on leash. The campground lies in a scenic setting of grasslands and sandstone hills covered with oak, hickory, ash, elm, and cottonwood. In spring, flowering wild plum and redbud add color to the landscape. Heyburn Public Hunting Area covers over 6,000 acres nearby, offering hunting for squirrel, rabbit, quail, waterfowl, and wild turkey during season.
