Emma Wood Sb Group Campground

Open

About

Emma Wood State Beach Group Campground, officially known as Ventura River Group Camp, occupies a scenic location at the mouth of the Ventura River along the Ventura County coast. Separated by about 2 freeway miles from the main Emma Wood State Beach, this facility caters specifically to group camping with four developed tent campsites and a separate primitive RV camping area. The developed tent sites each accommodate up to 30 people and include fire rings and picnic tables. The primitive RV section handles larger groups of up to 50 people with a maximum of 20 vehicles, though no utility hookups are available. RVs up to 45 feet in length can be accommodated. All campers have access to restrooms, potable water, a lighted parking lot, and beach access. A bike path connects the facility to nearby Ventura. Reservations are required year-round and can be made through ReserveCalifornia. This is a walk-in tent camping situation for the developed sites, as gear must be carried a short distance from the parking area to the campsites. Dogs are prohibited on the beach.
