Gregory Creek Group Campground

Gregory Creek Group Campground is located adjacent to Gregory Beach along the Upper Sacramento River Arm of Shasta Lake, 15 miles northeast of I-5 in Shasta-Trinity National Forest. The single-loop campground is moderately to thickly wooded with a mix of oak and pine trees that provide plenty of shade during hot summers. The understory consists of manzanita, blackberries, poison oak, tree fern, wild grape, and native grasses. The group site accommodates up to 100 people and 20 vehicles. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring, and tent pad with paved parking spurs. Flush toilets and drinking water are provided. When lake levels are high, the bank is moderately sloped for water access; as levels drop, steep drop-offs are exposed near Gregory Beach. A public boat ramp at Antlers is nearby for launching. Lake activities include fishing for trout, catfish, Chinook salmon, crappie, bluegill, sturgeon, and bass, along with swimming, motorized and non-motorized boating, and water skiing. Lake Shasta Caverns tours and the town of Lakehead with restaurants and shopping are also nearby.

From I-5, take exit 698 Salt Creek/Gilman Road. Turn left at end of off ramp and follow Salt Creek Road (also known as Gregory Creek Road) for 4 miles. Located adjacent to Gregory Beach dispersed area along the Upper Sacramento River Arm of Shasta Lake, 15 miles northeast of I-5 on Gilman Road.
