Greendale Campground

Closed — Closed for the season. The campground is not maintained for winter use as deep snow covers amenities and Greendale Road becomes a snowmobile trail from December through mid-April. Typically opens mid-May and operates through October.

Greendale Campground is a small, remote campground nestled along Greendale Brook in Weston, Vermont, within the Green Mountain National Forest. This peaceful campground features 11 wooded campsites, each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring with grill. The campground's remote location provides a quiet escape surrounded by mixed hardwood and softwood forests. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations available. There is no potable water on-site; campers must treat or filter water from Greendale Brook or bring their own supply. Vault toilets are provided. The site offers access to nearby hiking trails and opportunities for wildlife viewing, fishing, and exploring the surrounding national forest. Greendale Road provides vehicle access to the campground during the operating season, though winter access is not maintained as the road becomes a snowmobile trail. The campground is located approximately three miles from Vermont Route 100, making it accessible yet secluded enough for a genuine backcountry camping experience.
