About
Located in the Upper Green River valley within Bridger-Teton National Forest, Whiskey Grove Campground offers an intimate camping experience with just 9 sites positioned along the Green River. The campground is dominated by conifer trees providing natural shade and privacy. Each site is equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and bear-proof food storage box, as proper food storage is required in this area. The campground provides drinking water via a hand-pump near the entrance and vault toilet facilities. Campers enjoy excellent fishing opportunities on the Green River, scenic day trips into the surrounding wilderness, hunting during season, and nature photography. The setting is peaceful with light usage, making it ideal for those seeking a quieter forest camping experience. Access to Whiskey Grove requires traveling approximately 34 miles from Pinedale via Highway 191 and Highway 352, which becomes Union Pass Road (Forest Road 370600) upon entering the national forest. The final 4 miles are on dirt road. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with some sites potentially available for reservation through Recreation.gov. A 14-day stay limit applies, and campers must pack out all trash as garbage service is not provided.
