About
Great Seal Shelters provides two distinct reservable picnic shelter options within Great Seal State Park, located in the scenic hills that inspired Ohio's state seal. The Ireland Shelter is an open 28x50 foot structure with a paved surface, featuring a fireplace, small grill, and 10 picnic tables with parking for up to 26 vehicles. The Vista Shelter is a 30x45 foot open structure with a paved surface, equipped with a small grill and 12 picnic tables with parking for up to 15 vehicles. Both shelters are wheelchair accessible and located near vault toilets and a playground. The park offers extensive recreational opportunities including an 18-hole disc golf course in the Ireland picnic area, multiple hiking trails, mountain biking trails, and horseback riding trails throughout the 1,682-acre property. The campground area also features pressurized water and offers scenic views of Sugarloaf Mountain and the Scioto Valley. Pets are welcome throughout the park.
