About

Lake White State Park is a day-use recreation area situated in the Appalachian foothills near the Scioto River in Pike County, Ohio. The park encompasses 92 acres of land surrounding a 337-acre lake that serves as the centerpiece for water-based recreation. Boaters enjoy unlimited horsepower access via a boat launch, while the lake supports water skiing, swimming at the designated beach area, and fishing for largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, saugeye, and catfish. The park provides two picnic shelters available through the ReserveOhio reservation system on a first-come, first-served basis after reservations. Scenic picnic areas with lake views, a playground, and hiking trails winding through the surrounding woodlands round out the day-use amenities. In winter, visitors enjoy ice skating and sledding when conditions permit. Note: Lake White State Park does not offer overnight camping. For campers seeking overnight accommodations in the area, nearby Pike Lake State Park (approximately 11 miles away) offers campsites with electric hookups, cabins, showers, and a dump station.
