The 92-acre park centers on the 337-acre Lake White, providing a scenic setting for water sports enthusiasts and outdoor recreation. The lake offers excellent opportunities for boating, paddling, water skiing, fishing, and swimming, while the surrounding landscape features hiking trails with marked paths that wind through the forested hills. The campground serves as a base for exploring the park's natural features and enjoying lakeside activities. Well-marked hiking trails, including routes that provide a challenging workout with elevation changes, connect various areas of the park. Picnic areas with lake views are available throughout the park, along with two picnic shelters that can be reserved. The region's rich cultural history dates back to the ancient Adena and Hopewell mound builders and continues through Revolutionary War era settlements. Located on the southwest edge of Waverly along State Route 551, Lake White State Park offers a peaceful retreat in the scenic hills of southern Ohio. The park's combination of water recreation, hiking opportunities, and natural beauty makes it a destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts seeking both active pursuits and relaxation in a picturesque lakeside setting.
