About

Grayton Beach State Park Campground sits within nearly 2,000 acres of coastal wilderness along Florida's scenic Highway 30A. The campground's 59 sites are divided between two distinct areas: the original loop features sites along Western Lake and marsh habitat, while the newer upper loop offers full hookup sites with more maneuvering room for larger RVs. Each site comes equipped with water and electric connections, a picnic table, and a fire ring with a flip-over grill surface for cooking. The park is renowned for its stunning beach, consistently ranked among America's best, featuring sugar-white sand and emerald-green waters typical of the Gulf Islands National Seashore region. Beyond the beach, campers can explore the rare coastal dune lake ecosystem of Western Lake, hike the nature trail through pine flatwoods and scrub habitat, or paddle along the lake's shoreline. The campground sits close enough to the small town of Grayton Beach to walk to local restaurants and shops. Facilities include hot showers, flush restrooms, and an RV dump station. While there's no camp store on-site, ice and firewood are available at the ranger station, and the Grayton General Store is about a mile away. Reservations are strongly recommended, especially during peak season, as the park frequently reaches capacity during busy periods.
