About

Eastern Lake Campground 2 is a primitive tent campground situated on the banks of Eastern Lake within Point Washington State Forest in Walton County, Florida, approximately 9 miles south of Freeport. The campground features four tent-only sites positioned around a scenic loop in the forest, each accommodating up to 8 people. Each campsite includes a picnic table, fire ring, grill, and lantern pole with a pea gravel tent pad area. A communal vault toilet serves the campground. No potable water or electric hookups are available, so campers must bring their own water supply. A floating dock provides exclusive paddling and crabbing access to Eastern Lake. The campground offers convenient access to several trails including the Eastern Lake Trail, Longleaf Greenway Trail, and McQuage Bayou Multi-Use Horse Trail, all within a quarter-mile. Point Washington State Forest is part of the Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail, offering opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, fishing, hunting, bird watching, and wildlife photography.
