The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from noon today to 9 PM MDT this evening. * IMPACTS: Low Humidities...Hot Temperatures...Strong Gusty Winds...and Dry Thunderstorms with gusty and erratic outflow winds could cause erratic fire behavior. * AFFECTED AREA: In Central WY Fire Zones...280...285...300. In North Central WY Fire Zone....281. * COUNTIES AFFECTED: In Central WY...Fremont...Natrona. In North Central WY...Hot Springs...Johnson...Washakie. * WIND: West 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. * THUNDERSTORMS: Will have the best chances in zones 280, 289 and 300. Wind gusts up to 55 mph will be possible from outflows. * HUMIDITY: As low as 10 percent. * TEMPERATURES: Highs in the lower 90s; highs in the 80s in zones 285 and 300.

The following message is transmitted on behalf of the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality, Air Quality Division, and the Wyoming Department of Health. * WHAT...Air Quality Alert for Wildfire Smoke. * WHERE...All of Western and Central Wyoming * WHEN...Now through Noon Monday. * IMPACTS...Smoke from western United States wildfires continues to be observed across much of western and central Wyoming. The smoke is limiting visibilities at times. HEALTH INFORMATION...The Wyoming Department of Health recommends that the elderly, young children, and individuals with respiratory problems avoid excessive physical exertion and minimize outdoor activities during this time. Wildfire smoke is made up of a variety of pollutants, including particulate matter and ozone, which can cause respiratory health effects. Although these people are most susceptible to health impacts, the Department of Health also advises that everyone should avoid prolonged exposure to poor air quality conditions. CURRENT CONDITIONS...The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality, Air Quality Division offers near real-time air quality data for Wyoming's monitoring stations and health effects information to help the public interpret current conditions. About
Grave Springs Campground is a free, primitive Bureau of Land Management campground situated along the South Bighorn/Red Wall Backcountry Byway in Natrona County, Wyoming. The campground provides a quiet basecamp for exploring this scenic backcountry route through the southern Bighorn Mountains. The campground features 14 first-come, first-served sites: 12 sites accommodate RVs with parking pads and tent areas, while 2 additional sites are designated tent-only with parking. Facilities include vault toilets, picnic tables at each site, and fire rings. The campground is ADA accessible. There are no fees and no reservations; all camping is first-come, first-served. Recreational opportunities include excellent small stream fishing, wildlife viewing, hunting, hiking, horseback riding, and photography. Campers should come prepared as no potable water is available on site.
Directions
From Arminto, take the South Bighorn/Red Wall Backcountry Byway north for 13.5 miles to Bighorn Mountain Road. Turn left and drive 12 miles north to the campground on the left.
