About

Grave Springs Campground is a free, primitive Bureau of Land Management campground situated along the South Bighorn/Red Wall Backcountry Byway in Natrona County, Wyoming. The campground provides a quiet basecamp for exploring this scenic backcountry route through the southern Bighorn Mountains. The campground features 14 first-come, first-served sites: 12 sites accommodate RVs with parking pads and tent areas, while 2 additional sites are designated tent-only with parking. Facilities include vault toilets, picnic tables at each site, and fire rings. The campground is ADA accessible. There are no fees and no reservations; all camping is first-come, first-served. Recreational opportunities include excellent small stream fishing, wildlife viewing, hunting, hiking, horseback riding, and photography. Campers should come prepared as no potable water is available on site.

Directions

From Arminto, take the South Bighorn/Red Wall Backcountry Byway north for 13.5 miles to Bighorn Mountain Road. Turn left and drive 12 miles north to the campground on the left.
