About
Lakeview Campground occupies a forested setting of lodgepole pine and Douglas fir on the northern shore of Meadowlark Lake, about 50 miles east of Worland, Wyoming. The 325-acre lake is open to wake-less boating, making it well-suited for canoeing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Anglers target rainbow, cutthroat, brown, and brook trout. The campground offers 19 sites across two loops: standard nonelectric sites in the LAKE loop and tent-only sites in the LOWR loop. Site #10 is a double site accommodating up to 16 people. Each site includes a picnic table and campfire ring with grill. Vault toilets, drinking water, and trash collection are available. Firewood can be purchased from the campground host. The nearest dump station is 12 miles away at Powder River Pass. The Cloud Peak Skyway provides scenic driving, and numerous trails lead into the Cloud Peak Wilderness. High Park Lookout, a historic CCC-built fire lookout, is a short hike from the lake. West Tensleep Lake, 10 miles north, offers additional hiking and non-motorized boating. Deer Haven Lodge and Meadowlark Lodge are nearby for supplies and dining.
