Diablo East Marina Cove, Scuba Cove, and Walkway Access Are Closed
The Diablo East Marina Cove, Scuba Cove, and walkway access are closed because of the presence of excessive docking material, unsafe walkway and dock, and unstable, loose ground. The area will reopen once these hazards have been corrected.
Only Left Side of Diablo East and Rough Canyon Boat Ramps Are Open - Rest Are Closed
Due to low water levels, only the left side of Diablo East and Rough Canyon boat ramps are open. Please use caution with Spur 406 and Spur 454 launches, as the water may be too shallow to launch most boats. To see a list of open ramps, click on "more."

About
Governors Landing Campground is located within Amistad National Recreation Area along the shores of Lake Amistad, a massive reservoir on the U.S.-Mexico border. This 15-site campground operates year-round on a first-come, first-served basis and rarely fills up except on holiday weekends. It is suitable for both tent camping and RVs up to 28 feet in length, with paved roads and gravel surfaces at individual sites. As the only campground in the park with potable water available, Governors Landing is particularly convenient for campers who want access to amenities without hookups. Each site includes a picnic table and grill, though ground fires are prohibited. The campground features vault toilets and trash collection but no showers or hookups. Visitors can stay up to 14 consecutive nights with a limit of 60 nights in the park per calendar year. The campground provides excellent access to some of the park's most popular swimming areas and is close enough to Del Rio for supply runs while maintaining a remote desert setting. The semi-arid climate features hot, humid summers and mild winters. Daytime picnicking at vacant sites is permitted from 7am to 3pm without payment; occupying sites outside these hours requires payment of the camping fee. Fees are paid at a centrally located self-pay station that accepts credit or debit cards only.
Directions
From Amistad National Recreation Area Visitor Center, turn right (west) onto Highway 90 and drive 1.9 miles. Turn left onto Spur 349 and travel 0.2 miles. Turn right and follow directional signs.
