Tettegouche Camp - Remote Cabins

Open — Open year-round with reservations available up to 120 days in advance via the Minnesota DNR reservation system.

About

Located deep within Tettegouche State Park's 9,000 acres, Tettegouche Camp consists of four historic rustic cabins positioned on the shores of Mic Mac Lake. The camp is only accessible by foot, requiring either a shorter but steeper 1.7-mile hike from Lax Lake Road or a 3.5-mile trek from the main park trailhead. Guests must carry in all their gear, though mountain bikes are permitted on the Lax Lake Road access. The four cabins vary in size and configuration, accommodating between two and six people. All cabins feature woodstoves with provided firewood, small kitchenettes with two-burner cooktops, mini refrigerators, cookware and utensils, screened porches, picnic tables, fire rings with grills, and dedicated canoes with paddles and life vests. The cabins share a central shower and bathroom building, plus a one-room day-use lodge with picnic tables, benches, two fireplaces, and a large screened porch overlooking the lake. Cabins do not have bathrooms or running water inside; water jugs are provided for collecting water from the shower building or hand pump. Guests must bring their own bedding and are responsible for cleaning after their stay.
