Geneva State Park Shelters
These are day-use picnic shelters only, not overnight camping facilities. The shelters are open and available for reservation through the Ohio State Parks reservation system. They are designed for daytime gatherings such as family reunions and group events.

In Pennsylvania, Northern Erie County. * WHEN...Through this evening. * IMPACTS...Wind and wave action will cause currents on the lakeshore. Swimmers should not enter the water. Currents can carry swimmers away from shore through a sand bar and along structures extending out into the lake.

Geneva State Park Shelters consist of two reservable shelterhouses situated in the scenic Crabapple Picnic Area within the 698-acre Geneva State Park on Lake Erie's northeastern Ohio shoreline. These day-use facilities are equipped with electric and water, making them well-suited for family reunions, group gatherings, and special events. The Crabapple Picnic Area features flush toilet restrooms, a volleyball court, horseshoe pit, and picnic tables spread across the grounds. The shelters are located in Ohio's wine country region, with the park offering access to Lake Erie beaches, a marina with a six-lane boat ramp, a 300-foot guarded swimming beach, and six miles of multi-use trails. These are day-use facilities only and do not accommodate overnight camping. For overnight stays, Geneva State Park offers a separate campground with 93 electric campsites, camper cabins, and the Lodge at Geneva.
