About

Gatlin Point Campground is a rustic self-service facility located on the Tennessee side of Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, offering direct access to Kentucky Lake. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Upon arrival, campers select a site, complete a fee envelope, and deposit payment in the Iron Ranger fee tube near the entrance. Cash or check only. Amenities include designated campsite pads, picnic tables, grills, fire rings, vault toilets, trash service, and a boat ramp for lake access. No potable water is available, so campers must bring their own supply. The campground enforces standard LBL regulations including a 21-day maximum stay within any 30-day period, after which campers must relocate for at least 7 days. Pets are permitted but must remain on a leash of 6 feet or less at all times. Campfires are allowed only in designated fire rings. Dead and downed wood may be collected for fuel, but trash burning is prohibited. This is a quiet, primitive camping option ideal for anglers and boaters seeking lakefront access without the crowds of larger developed campgrounds.
