About

Piney Campground is one of the largest and most well-equipped campgrounds in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. Located on the shores of Kentucky Lake in Stewart County, Tennessee, it offers 384 lakefront and wooded sites organized into multiple loops. The Dogwood loop provides full hookups with water, sewer, and 50-amp electric. Sweetgum offers 50-amp electric without water/sewer, while Chestnut, Persimmon, Shortleaf, Loblolly, and Black Oak loops provide 30-amp electric. Fifty-seven primitive sites and 19 rental cabins round out the options. The campground features extensive recreational amenities including a swimming beach, two boat ramps, a fishing pier, archery range, ball field, playgrounds, and connections to the Fort Henry Trail System. The Piney Outpost camp store sells food, drinks, ice, firewood, and camping supplies. Weekend recreation programs run throughout summer, and the campfire theater hosts evening programs. Modern bathhouses with flush toilets and showers are located throughout the campground. A central dump station serves RV campers, and drinking water is available from faucets. Most sites can accommodate large motorhomes, though the majority are back-in style.
