About

French Gulch Group Campground sits at 2,500 feet elevation in the Sequoia National Forest, about 3 miles from the western shores of Lake Isabella. This single-site group area is designed for gatherings of up to 100 people, making it ideal for family reunions, scout troops, and other large group events. The campground features 24 picnic tables, 3 benches, 2 large grills, and 1 fire ring. A wood-framed shelter pergola provides additional covered seating with 6 more picnic tables. Two flush toilet buildings serve the site, connected by concrete sidewalks. Campers should bring their own drinking water as there is no potable water available on site. Lake Isabella offers excellent recreation opportunities including swimming, water skiing, windsurfing, and fishing for trout and bass. Boat rentals are available at the nearby French Gulch Marina. The campground is operated by ExplorUS under a Forest Service concessionaire permit.
