The farmhouse at Fort Ridgely State Park offers a unique lodging experience near the equestrian campground with direct access to the Fair Ridge Trail. This accessible facility features one bedroom with three double beds (two are bunkbeds), air conditioning and heat, and a small refrigerator. Indoor cooking is not allowed, but outdoor cooking facilities include a picnic table, pedestal grill, and fire ring with grill. Guests must bring their own bedding and linens. The farmhouse does not have an indoor restroom or water; a primitive toilet is nearby, a shower building is available at the adjacent equestrian campground, and a potable water spigot is located outside. The facility accommodates up to six people and provides parking for three vehicles. Entry is via combination lock with code provided upon reservation. Guests are responsible for cleaning after their stay, with supplies provided.

Directions

From Fairfax, Minnesota, head south on Highway 4 for approximately 7 miles. Turn right onto County Road 30 and continue for about 1 mile to reach Fort Ridgely State Park. The Farmhouse is located near the equestrian campground within the park.
