About
Fort Ridgely State Park's Enhanced Group Camp offers group camping in the historic Minnesota River valley of Nicollet County. The camp accommodates up to 20 people, making it suitable for Scout troops, family reunions, and other organized groups seeking a shared camping experience. The group camp includes standard Minnesota state park group camp amenities: picnic tables, fire rings with grills, water access, and vault toilets. The park's main campground area features a historic CCC-era bathhouse with showers and flush toilets for additional comfort. Fort Ridgely is distinguished by its Civil War-era military history, with the ruins of the original 1853 fort available for touring. The park offers additional recreation including a stocked trout stream, nine-hole golf course, and extensive hiking trails through hardwood forests and prairie remnants.
