About
Fish Creek Campground sits at 3,400 feet elevation in the Bass Lake Ranger District of Sierra National Forest, offering a quiet, primitive camping experience along its namesake creek. The campground features 7 standard sites and 2 tent-only sites, all nestled beneath oaks and pines with large flat shaded areas for tents. Each site includes a picnic table, grill, and fire ring. The campground provides basic facilities with vault toilets but no potable water, so campers must bring their own drinking water supply. Access is via a mix of paved and dirt roads. Nearby Mammoth Pool Reservoir offers fishing, boating, hiking, and wildlife viewing. Hikers can access the French Trail, a 12.7-mile foot trail extending from Squaw Dome Trailhead to Logan Meadow Trailhead. The 83-mile Sierra Vista Scenic Byway is a popular drive in the area.
Directions
From Fresno, take Highway 41 north to Road 200. Turn right and travel east to North Fork. Continue through North Fork to Minarets Road (Forest Road 81) and continue 19 miles to the campground.
