About
Clark Creek Organization Camp is a historic group campground built by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the 1930s, nestled along Fall Creek approximately 15 miles northeast of Lowell, Oregon. The camp was designed specifically for group recreational activities and has historically hosted Boy Scout troops, church groups, and other organizations seeking a rustic outdoor experience. The facility accommodates up to 80 overnight guests and 125 day-use visitors. Overnight guests can stay in one of five bunkhouses, each containing eight platform sleeping bunks, or pitch tents in the large open field. Amenities include a cooking and dining shelter, an amphitheater, campfire circles, horseshoe pits, and a volleyball area. Drinking water is available via hand pump, and vault toilets serve the facility. Clark Creek divides the day-use area from the sleeping shelters, with access provided by a footbridge. The surrounding area offers excellent recreation opportunities including hiking and biking trails, swimming in Fall Creek, and access to the Clark Creek Nature Trail and Clark Butte Trail. Fall Creek runs adjacent to the camp across Forest Road 18, providing additional swimming and fishing opportunities.
