About

Ellison Guard Station sits at the edge of the Bald Mountain Wilderness in Nevada's White Pine Range, managed by the Ely Ranger District of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. This remote location in White Pine County provides access to one of Nevada's most pristine wilderness areas. The Bald Mountain Wilderness encompasses 22,366 acres of rugged terrain in west-central Nevada. The White Pine Range features dramatic landscapes typical of the Great Basin, with subalpine forests and high desert ecosystems. The area is known for its solitude and backcountry opportunities.
