About

Berry Creek Dispersed Campground sits in the Duck Creek Basin area of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in White Pine County, Nevada. This primitive campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no fees and no reservations. Basic amenities include vault toilets, picnic tables, and campfire rings, though campers must bring their own drinking water as none is available on site. The campground serves as a base for year-round recreation. During warmer months, visitors enjoy stream fishing in Berry Creek, day hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Winter brings opportunities for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Horse and pack animals are permitted, making this a good staging area for backcountry trips. Access is via US-93 north from Ely to McGill, then 5 miles further north to the Duck Creek Basin turnoff. Turn east on Duck Creek Basin Road and left onto Berry Creek Road (NF-424/568). The campground typically opens at the end of May and closes mid-October, depending on weather and road conditions.
