About

East Fork Campground is a small, primitive campground located at the scenic confluence of the East and South forks of the Salmon River in the Salmon/Scott River Ranger District of Klamath National Forest. The campground offers 6 sites and is free to use on a first-come, first-served basis. Facilities are minimal: a vault toilet is available, but there is no potable water and no garbage services. River water can be filtered or boiled for use, but campers should plan to bring an adequate supply of drinking water. All trash must be packed out. The campground provides access to swimming, fishing, and wildlife viewing along the Salmon River. The campground is reached via the Callahan-Cecilville Road, a winding route that travels approximately 27 miles south from Callahan. The remote location and lack of amenities make this best suited for self-sufficient campers seeking solitude along the river.

Directions

From Callahan, take the Callahan-Cecilville Road heading south for approximately 27 miles to the campground.
