About

Eagle Island State Park's brand new RV campground opened in September 2025, representing the largest upgrade in the park's history. The campground features 48-50 sites with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections, providing convenient camping close to the Boise metro area. The 545-acre park is bordered by the north and south channels of the Boise River and has been a popular day-use destination since 1983. The park offers diverse recreational opportunities including over five miles of multi-use trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, a 19-hole disc golf course suitable for all skill levels, and a popular swimming area with waterslide during summer months. Additional amenities include picnic areas with covered shelters available for rent, restrooms, and a grassy day-use area. The park is located on the southwest outskirts of Eagle, providing easy access from the Treasure Valley. Reservations for the RV campground can be made through ReserveAmerica. The park operates on seasonal schedules, with winter hours running from late October through early April. The swimming beach and waterslide are seasonal summer attractions, while trails, disc golf, and camping remain available during operational months.
