About

Dunns Farm Camp Zone offers a backcountry camping experience in the southern section of Jennings State Forest. The hike-in only access via a 1.1-mile trail from the Dunns Farm Trailhead ensures solitude and a true primitive camping experience. The camp zone has two sites and can accommodate up to 8 people total. This is a pack-it-in, pack-it-out style camp with minimal amenities. A fire ring is available for campfires, and garbage cans are provided. There is no potable water, no toilets, no electricity, and no showers. Campers must be fully self-sufficient and bring all water and supplies. Day-use parking fees apply at the trailhead. The surrounding forest provides excellent opportunities for hiking, birding, and wildlife viewing. Access to seepage streams and North Fork Black Creek allows for canoeing and swimming. During hunting seasons, trail users should wear day-glo orange for visibility.

Directions

From Middleburg, take FL-21 north. Turn west onto Longhorn Road and continue to Jennings State Forest. Proceed to the Dunns Farm Trailhead for parking, then hike 1.1 miles to the camp zone.
