Cary Group Camp is a dedicated group camping facility within the expansive Cary State Forest in Nassau County, just northeast of Bryceville. This tents-only camp can accommodate up to 50 people and features flush restrooms with showers, a recreation pavilion, and water access. The camp serves as an ideal base for youth groups and organizations looking to experience Florida's natural forests. Cary State Forest encompasses over 13,000 acres of diverse ecosystems including woodlands, swamps, and cypress domes. The forest supports numerous wildlife and plant species, including endangered, threatened, and special concern species. Visitors can explore recreational trails for hiking and horseback riding, enjoy wildlife viewing and birding, and photograph the forest's natural beauty. The area features 11 different natural communities including longleaf pine/wiregrass, mesic flatwoods, wet flatwoods, sandhills, basin swamps, and cypress domes. The forest is managed for multiple uses including hunting during scheduled seasons. Visitors should be aware that alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the property, and pets must be leashed. Day use visitors can access the forest from 1.5 hours before sunrise until 1.5 hours after sunset.

From I-10 take exit 343 toward Baldwin. Turn left onto US 301 N for 1.1 mi. Turn right onto W Beaver St/Lake City Rd for 0.7 mi. Turn left onto US 301 N for 7.7 mi. Turn right onto Pavilion Rd for 0.3 miles to campground entrance. From I-95 take exit 373 toward Callahan. Head west on FL-200/Florida A1A for 12 mi. Continue straight onto US 301 S for 11 miles. Turn left onto Pavilion Rd for 0.3 mi to campground entrance.
