Dog Creek Campground is located on the scenic shores of Nolin River Lake in the rolling landscape of southern Kentucky. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this campground offers 70 sites, including 50 with electric and water hookups. The entire campground has easy access to the shoreline of the 5,795-acre Nolin River Lake, which draws over two million visitors annually. The lake is known for its unique blue-green water and is one of the top lakes in Kentucky for fishing, with abundant populations of catfish, bass, crappie, and walleye. The campground features a swimming area, adjacent boat launching ramp, and playground. Several marinas around the lake offer boat rentals, supplies, and fuel. Visitors can enjoy scenic canoe and boat trips along the Nolin River, part of which flows through Mammoth Cave National Park. Hiking trails wind along the shoreline and into the surrounding forest. The campground is located about an hour from Bowling Green and less than two hours from Louisville or Nashville, making it an accessible retreat for water sports enthusiasts and nature lovers.

Directions

From Bowling Green: Take US 31W North for 14 miles, turn left on KY 101, which becomes KY 259 North. After 11 miles on KY 259, turn right on KY 728. Follow for 8 miles, turn left on Union Light Road. Campground is on the left in 5 miles. From Louisville: Take I-65 South to exit 76, turn west on Highway 224 for 10 miles, turn left on Highway 479 for 8 miles, turn left on Highway 88 for 2 miles, then right on KY 2015/Union Light Road. Campground is on the right in 1 mile.
