About

Dewitt Picnic Area is a day-use only facility situated in the lower reaches of Logan Canyon, managed by the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The site sits directly along the Logan River, offering easy access to fishing, tubing, and canoeing. Three individual picnic sites are available, each equipped with a picnic table and a permanent Forest Service fire ring. The area is shaded by massive 75-year-old black willow trees, complemented by maple and oak that provide spectacular autumn color. Flush restrooms are available during the operating season. The Riverside Nature Trail and Crimson Trail can be accessed from the site, providing opportunities for hiking and mountain biking. This is not an overnight campground. Gates open at 7 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. Sites accommodate a maximum of 8 people and are available first-come, first-served. The day-use fee is approximately $14 per site.
