About

Denby Point campground sits on the shores of Lake Ouachita in the heart of the Ouachita Mountains, 28 miles west of Hot Springs National Park. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this facility offers 67 campsites including 58 with water and electric hookups, 9 tent sites (some with electric), and 2 group sites with electric hookups. The campground provides modern amenities including hot showers, flush toilets, a dump station, fish cleaning station, boat ramp, and swim beach. Lake Ouachita is renowned for its world-class striper fishing that draws anglers year-round, and its exceptionally clear waters attract scuba divers exploring flooded forests and mountain valleys beneath the surface. The lake boasts 692 miles of shoreline and over 40,000 surface acres. Visitors enjoy jet skiing, boating, kayaking, canoeing, and hiking along the Lake Ouachita Vista Trail (LOViT) that lines the southern end of the lake. The campground is surrounded by Ouachita National Forest's 1.8 million acres, providing abundant outdoor recreation opportunities.

Directions

From Hot Springs, Arkansas, take US 270 west about 26.5 miles to Ouachita Shores Parkway. Turn right and follow access road one mile north to park. From Mount Ida, Arkansas, take US 270 east approximately 9.5 miles to Ouachita Shores Parkway. Turn left on access road one mile to park.
