Denby Point Recreation Area offers one of the most scenic camping experiences on Lake Ouachita, a 40,000-acre reservoir nestled in the heart of the Ouachita Mountains. The campground provides 67 sites spread throughout a pine-shaded setting: 58 RV sites with water and 50/30/20-amp electric hookups, 9 tent sites, and 2 group sites with electric hookups. Sites range from 35 to 65 feet in length, accommodating everything from small tents to large RVs. Facilities include flush restrooms, hot showers, a dump station, and a fish cleaning station. The adjacent swim beach and boat ramp provide direct lake access, while the Watchable Wildlife ADA Trail offers a 1.25-mile accessible pathway through wetland habitat. Lake Ouachita Shores Resort Marina sits next to the campground, offering boat rentals and additional services. World-class striper fishing draws anglers year-round to Lake Ouachita's exceptionally clear waters, which also attract scuba divers exploring the flooded forests and mountain valleys beneath the surface. Hikers can access the Lake Ouachita Vista Trail (LOViT) along the lake's southern shore. The campground's year-round operation and proximity to both Hot Springs National Park and the 1.8-million-acre Ouachita National Forest make it an excellent base for extended exploration.

Directions

From Hot Springs, Arkansas, take US 270 west about 26.5 miles to Ouachita Shores Parkway. Turn right and follow access road one mile north to park. From Mount Ida, Arkansas, take US 270 east approximately 9.5 miles to Ouachita Shores Parkway. Turn left on access road one mile to park.
