About
Del Valle Regional Park sits deep in a valley framed by oak-covered hills in Alameda County, about five miles south of Livermore. The 5-mile-long reservoir serves as the centerpiece for both water recreation and camping, with sailboats and kayaks dotting the lake while campers settle into sites nestled among the surrounding 4,395 acres. The family campground offers 150 sites: 21 RV sites with full hookups (water, sewer, 30-amp electric), 124 drive-up tent sites, 5 cabins with beds and electric outlets, and equestrian camping. All family sites include fire pits and picnic tables, served by centralized restroom and shower facilities. Group camping accommodates parties of 17-150 with both developed and primitive options. Beyond camping, visitors can swim at the designated beach, launch boats, fish for trout and bass, or explore miles of hiking and equestrian trails. The park connects to the Ohlone Wilderness Trail system for extended backcountry adventures.
