Prolonged exposure to the cold conditions will lead to hypothermia for people, pets, and livestock. Cold conditions may damage or kill sensitive crops, plants, and vegetation if appropriate precautions are not taken.

Del Valle Regional Park sits deep in a valley framed by oak-covered hills 10 miles south of Livermore, offering a lakeside resort experience with 4,395 acres of recreational opportunities. The centerpiece is a five-mile-long lake featuring swimming beaches, boating, fishing, and windsurfing. The family campground includes 150 sites with 21 full-hookup RV sites (water, sewer, and electrical), 124 tent sites, 5 cabins, and equestrian camping. All family campsites have fire pits and picnic tables with centrally located flush toilets and showers. The park also offers seven group campsites ranging from primitive to developed options. Del Valle is regularly stocked with trout and catfish and offers bass and panfish. The park serves as the eastern gateway to the Ohlone Wilderness Trail and features miles of hiking and horseback riding trails. Amenities include a visitor center, marina store, camp store, boat rentals, and a boat launch with mandatory invasive mussel inspections.
Directions
From I-580 in Livermore, exit at North Livermore Avenue and head south through town. About 1.5 miles outside of town, turn right at Mines Road, continue 3.5 miles and go straight on Del Valle Road. The park entrance is about four miles ahead.
