High tide varies up to 90 minutes earlier or later along the Pacific Coast and through the San Francisco Bay, respectively.

About

Dumbarton Quarry Campground on the Bay brings full-service camping to the East Bay, situated on a former quarry site along the eastern shore of San Francisco Bay near Fremont. The 63-site campground opened in August 2021 and provides a comfortable base for exploring Coyote Hills Regional Park's marshlands, Ohlone shell mounds, and bay-adjacent trails. The campground caters primarily to RV campers with 60 paved sites featuring water, sewer, and 50/30/20-amp electrical hookups. Three additional unpaved, water-only sites accommodate tent campers and those seeking a more primitive experience. Every site includes a fire pit and bench. Two ADA-accessible shower and restroom buildings with hot water serve the campground, along with a camp store, playground, amphitheater, and free WiFi. Reservations are required year-round and can be made up to 12 weeks in advance through Reserve America or by phone. Maximum stay is 15 consecutive days. Dogs are permitted on leash throughout the campground with a small daily fee.
