About

Deer Point Campground offers a primitive boat-in camping experience on the scenic north shore of Lake Chelan within the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Located approximately 4 miles uplake from Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park, this remote campground is accessible only by boat, making it a peaceful retreat for those seeking to escape the crowds. The campground provides five tent sites, each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. A floating dock with capacity for eight boats serves as the primary access point. Two vault toilets are available, but there is no potable water on site—campers must bring their own water or be prepared to treat or filter water from the lake. The campground's location provides good shelter from down-lake winds, though it offers limited protection from up-lake winds. Deer Point is accessible year-round, though a Federal Dock Site Boat Permit is required from May 1 through October 31 for use of the dock. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations. Sites are heavily used during the peak summer season. Boaters should note that Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park serves as the primary boat launch for accessing this and other uplake recreation sites on Lake Chelan.

Directions
