Open for the 2026 season. A Lake Chelan Federal Dock Site Permit is required May 1 through October 31. Daily permits cost $10; season permits cost $75. Permits must be pre-purchased before docking.

Company Creek Road inundated at northern end. Battalion Creek culverts are beginning to be overtopped. Mitchell Creek Campground offers a secluded camping experience on the north shore of Lake Chelan, accessible only by boat. Located approximately four miles downlake from the Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park boat launch, this primitive campground provides a peaceful escape into the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. The seven campsites are first-come, first-served and feature picnic tables and fire rings for each site. The campground includes a covered picnic shelter for group gatherings and weather protection, along with a dock capable of holding up to 17 boats. Two vault toilets serve the campground. Campers should come prepared to filter or treat water from nearby sources, as no potable water is available on site. The surrounding area offers opportunities for fishing, swimming, and exploring the scenic Lake Chelan shoreline.

Directions

From Chelan, travel south on Highway 97A for 3 miles. Turn right onto Southshore Road and go approximately 17 miles to Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park. From the boat launch, travel approximately 4 miles downlake by boat. Mitchell Creek Campground is on the north shore.
