About

Deer Creek Forest Camp sits at high elevation in Washington's Colville National Forest, rebuilt after the 2015 Stickpin Fire swept through the area. The campground now hosts young conifer and aspen stands with thriving understory vegetation and wildflowers. Each campsite includes a picnic table, fire ring, and level parking spur measuring 50-60 feet, accommodating both back-in and pull-through configurations. The campground is positioned on the Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail and directly across from the northern trailhead of the Kettle Crest National Recreation Trail, which welcomes hikers, equestrians, and mountain bikers. The nearby Taylor Ridge Trail is a popular mountain biking destination. Horse corrals are available on-site, with a water trough for stock across the paved county highway. This is a primitive campground with one vault toilet and no potable water. Campers must bring their own drinking water and properly store all food and wildlife attractants. The high elevation keeps the site cool through summer.
