About

Lambert Creek Horse Camp is a free, primitive equestrian campground tucked into the Colville National Forest east of Republic, Washington. Its 6 shaded sites provide parking spurs, picnic tables, rock fire rings, and creek access for watering horses and stock. A vault toilet serves the camp. No potable water is available, so campers must bring their own drinking water. The campground sits directly across from the Old Stage/Midnight Ridge Trailhead, providing immediate access to a popular loop trail for horseback riding, hiking, and mountain biking. The area is fenced with cattleguards to exclude cattle, with a 6-foot bypass gate next to the entrance cattleguard allowing stock users to reach the trail system. Note that no corrals, highlines, or hitching rails are currently provided. Quiet hours run from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Pets must be leashed, fireworks are prohibited, and maximum stay is 14 days. Food and wildlife attractants must be properly secured per forest food storage orders.

Directions

From Republic, WA, take Highway 21 north approximately 12 miles to County Road 546 (Lambert Creek Road). Turn right and continue about 6.5 miles; the campground will be on your right. The campground has a one-way traffic pattern; use the second entrance.
