This is a day-use picnic pavilion only. There is no overnight camping. The facility is open year-round from sunrise to sunset. Restrooms are seasonal, operating mid-April through late October. Reservations available through Recreation.gov for morning (7AM-3:30PM) or afternoon (4-8PM) time slots.

About

Deep Creek Picnic Pavilion is a day-use only facility in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There is no overnight camping allowed. The covered pavilion can accommodate up to 70 guests and includes 15 picnic tables beneath the shelter plus four elevated charcoal grills located just outside. Wood fires are prohibited; only charcoal grills may be used. The pavilion is located in the Deep Creek area, about 3 miles from downtown Bryson City, NC. Nearby amenities include seasonal restrooms with potable water (operating mid-April through late October), bear-proof trash receptacles, and parking. The area provides access to Deep Creek for fishing and wading, as well as trails to three scenic waterfalls: Tom Branch Falls, Indian Creek Falls, and Juney Whank Falls. Reservations are made through Recreation.gov for either the morning slot (7AM-3:30PM) or afternoon slot (4-8PM). A valid parking tag is required for any vehicle parked more than 15 minutes. Pets are permitted but must be leashed and attended. A Tennessee or North Carolina fishing license is required to fish.
