About
Deep Creek Picnic Pavilion offers a scenic mountain setting for gatherings in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The covered pavilion accommodates up to 70 people with 15 picnic tables and four elevated charcoal grills. Located near Deep Creek, the area provides access to three waterfalls: Tom Branch Falls, Indian Creek Falls (25 feet), and Juney Whank Falls (90 feet total). Deep Creek itself is popular for tubing, wading, and trout fishing. The pavilion operates seasonally and requires reservations through Recreation.gov, with two daily time slots available (7AM-3:30PM and 4-8PM). Potable water is available at nearby restrooms. The facility is three miles from Bryson City and sits across from Deep Creek Campground. No electricity is available at the pavilion. Wood fires are prohibited; only charcoal grills may be used. A valid parking tag is required for vehicles parking more than 15 minutes in the park.
