Curry Hammock State Park Campground is a hidden gem situated along the Overseas Highway in Marathon, offering 28 well-maintained campsites on a 1,000-acre preserve that protects vital mangrove swamps, rockland hammocks, and seagrass beds. The campground features spacious gravel sites with full hookups including 20/30/50-amp electrical service and water, accommodating RVs up to 70 feet. Each site includes a picnic table, charcoal grill, and hammock posts, with select sites offering tent pads and ocean views. Beach access is available between sites 13 and 15, leading to a 1,200-foot sandy beach fronting the Atlantic Ocean. The campground amenities include an ADA-compliant bathhouse with hot showers, a dump station, and carefully maintained grounds. Site 1 is fully ADA accessible. While no open flames are allowed on individual campsites, a communal fire pit is available for campers on the west end of the beach. The park offers exceptional recreational opportunities including kayaking and paddleboarding from the on-site launch, snorkeling in shallow seagrass flats, fishing in nearby channels and flats, and access to the 90-mile Overseas Heritage Trail for biking and running. The park is renowned for wildlife viewing, hosting the annual Florida Keys Hawkwatch migration count and providing opportunities to see manatees, dolphins, sharks, stingrays, and diverse bird species. A separate 1.5-mile nature trail through tropical hardwood hammock is accessible one mile south on US 1, offering a glimpse into ancient fossilized coral formations and rare habitat.

Located along both sides of U.S. 1 starting at Little Crawl Key, Mile Marker 56.2, 11 miles west of Long Key. The entrance to the facilities is on the oceanside of U.S. 1.
