The day-use area features a swimming beach, two ADA-accessible fishing piers (upstream and downstream of the dam), and two reservable group picnic shelters. Canoe and kayak access is available along both shores of the Pine River downstream from the dam. A playground, restrooms, and parking for up to 50 vehicles round out the facilities. This is a day-use only facility. No overnight camping is permitted. The city of Crosslake is within walking distance, offering local shopping, a paved walking and biking trail, and other activities.
