Cross Lake Day Use

About
Cross Lake Day Use is a US Army Corps of Engineers recreation area situated among tall pines on the eastern bank of Cross Lake in central Minnesota. The facility provides access to the Whitefish Chain of Lakes, which boasts 13,660 acres of water and 119 miles of shoreline. The day-use area features a swimming beach, two ADA-accessible fishing piers (upstream and downstream of the dam), and two reservable group picnic shelters. Canoe and kayak access is available along both shores of the Pine River downstream from the dam. A playground, restrooms, and parking for up to 50 vehicles round out the facilities. This is a day-use only facility. No overnight camping is permitted. The city of Crosslake is within walking distance, offering local shopping, a paved walking and biking trail, and other activities.
Directions
From Brainerd, Minnesota on Highway 25, turn right on County Road 3 and travel north to Cross Lake. The Day Use area entrance is to the left, directly across from the intersection of County Roads 3 and 66.
