Wildlife viewing is excellent here, with visitors frequently spotting deer coming to drink at the creek, along with chipmunks, squirrels, and various bird species. The campground serves as an ideal base for exploring the nearby Strawberry Mountain Wilderness. Late spring and early summer bring beautiful wildflower displays to the area. Visitors should be prepared for rapidly changing weather conditions and must bring their own drinking water and pack out all trash. The campground operates first-come, first-served with a 14-day stay limit.
