About

Creekside Campground is nestled within Hungry Mother State Park, one of Virginia's original six state parks established in 1936. The campground features 19 paved sites with electric and water hookups, accommodating tents, pop-up campers, and RVs up to 30 feet. Sites offer 20 and 30 amp electrical service with both back-in and limited pull-through options. Each site includes a round fire ring and picnic table. The campground is set in a scenic waterfront location with views of the park's 108-acre lake. Guests have access to a universally accessible bathhouse with shower facilities and seasonal laundry. The campground's paved sites make it accessible, though tent campers are encouraged to bring air mattresses. A sharp turn on the road leading to Creekside requires extra caution for larger RVs and trailers. Hungry Mother State Park offers extensive recreational opportunities including a guarded swimming beach (Memorial Day through Labor Day), boat rentals, a universally accessible fishing pier, and over 17 miles of hiking and biking trails. The park features a Discovery Center with gift shop, seasonal concessions, and the Lakeview Event Center. The historic park was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
