About
Crazy Creek Campground offers a quiet retreat in the Bitterroot National Forest, situated adjacent to Warm Springs Creek, a tributary of the East Fork of the Bitterroot River. This small 7-site campground sees light usage, making it ideal for campers seeking solitude. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring, with a vault toilet serving the campground and potable water available from a hand pump during the warmer months. The campground operates on a first-come first-served basis with no advance reservations. Sites can accommodate trailers under 26 feet. There is no garbage service, so campers must pack out all trash. Food storage requirements are in effect due to bear activity in the area. Quiet hours are observed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and camping is limited to 16 consecutive days. Access is via Medicine Springs Road (Forest Road 370), about 4 miles west of Highway 93. The campground sits at approximately 5,000 feet elevation in a forested setting typical of western Montana's mountain valleys.
Directions
From Sula, MT head northwest 2.9 miles on Highway 93. Turn west (left) onto Medicine Springs Road #370. Travel 4 miles to campground.
