About
Crazy Creek Campground is a small, rustic campground with 7 sites situated adjacent to Warm Springs Creek, a tributary of the East Fork of the Bitterroot River. The campground sits at 4,500 feet elevation in the Bitterroot National Forest near Sula, Montana. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring, and the campground features a vault toilet and a hand-pump well for potable water available seasonally from May through September. The campground can accommodate trailers under 26 feet and operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no on-site host. Campers must pack out all trash as no garbage service is provided. Food storage is required due to wildlife activity in the area. Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., and camping is limited to 16 consecutive days. Warm Springs Creek averages 20 feet wide and 7 inches deep, offering fair fishing opportunities with catches of 7-10 inch cutthroat trout. The Warm Springs Creek Trail 103 begins adjacent to the campground and follows the creek upstream, providing access to hiking and horseback riding opportunities. The area is also popular for mountain biking, hunting, and wildlife viewing.
Directions
From Sula, Montana, head northwest 2.9 miles on Highway 93. Turn west (left) onto Medicine Springs Road #370 and travel 4 miles to the campground.
