About
Coyote Campground is a small, primitive campground situated in an open pine forest and grassland landscape in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. The campground features 6 tent/trailer sites, each equipped with a picnic table and fire pit. Located about 27 miles from Enterprise via a series of mostly graveled forest roads, the campground offers a remote camping experience in the Wallowa Mountains. The campground operates seasonally from approximately June through fall, with maintenance ending when weather and snow dictate closure. Sites are available first-come, first-served for $10 per night, with payment collected at an on-site self-service station. Campers must bring their own water as none is available on-site. A vault toilet is provided for visitor convenience. Coyote Campground sees light use during the summer months and becomes more popular during fall hunting season. The campground's remote location and basic amenities make it ideal for campers seeking a quiet, backcountry experience. Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
