About
Cabin Saddle Campground is a dispersed camping area located in Asotin County, Washington, within the Pomeroy Ranger District of Umatilla National Forest. Situated in the Blue Mountains at an elevation suitable for summer camping, this primitive campground offers visitors a backcountry camping experience without the amenities of developed campgrounds. As a dispersed campground, Cabin Saddle provides a more rustic experience for self-sufficient campers seeking solitude in the forest. The area serves as access to the surrounding Blue Mountains terrain, which offers opportunities for hiking, hunting, and exploring the remote forest environment. The campground is typically accessible during the summer and early fall months when forest roads are passable. Visitors should come prepared for primitive conditions and practice Leave No Trace principles. Check with the Pomeroy Ranger District for current road conditions and any seasonal closures before planning your trip.
