About

Cottonwood Campground is a developed Bureau of Land Management site located on Green Mountain in Fremont County, Wyoming. Situated in a semi-alpine setting approximately 17 miles from Jeffrey City, it offers the only developed recreation facilities within a several-hundred-square-mile area. The campground features 18 sites equipped with fire rings, picnic tables, potable water, accessible vault toilets, and garbage collection. Large recreational vehicles can be accommodated. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations accepted. Fees are $20 per night, or $10 per night with a Senior Annual Pass, Senior Lifetime Pass, or Access Pass. The maximum stay is 14 days. The regular season runs from June 1 through October 31. The Green Mountain Loop Road above the campground opens June 15 through December 1.
