Seminoe State Park North Red Hills Campground

Open

About

North Red Hills Campground occupies a scenic stretch of shoreline at Seminoe State Park, where the North Platte River was dammed in 1939 to create Seminoe Reservoir. The campground's namesake red sandstone formations create a striking backdrop against the high desert landscape of Carbon County. All 30 sites require reservations during the peak season from May 15 through September 15. The campground accommodates both tent and RV campers, with 13 sites offering electrical hookups. Vault toilets are distributed throughout the area, and potable drinking water is available during summer months. A dump station serves RV campers. The North Red Hills boat ramp and dock provide convenient access to the reservoir, which is known for walleye, rainbow and brown trout, and catfish. Seminoe State Park operates year-round, though services are reduced outside the main season. The park's remote location about 35 miles north of Sinclair via County Road 351 offers solitude but requires planning for supplies and fuel.

Directions

From Sinclair, Wyoming, take County Road 351 north approximately 35 miles to Seminoe State Park. The road is partially unpaved. North Red Hills is located on the northwest side of the reservoir.
