South Red Hills Campground occupies a scenic location on the northwest shore of Seminoe Reservoir at Seminoe State Park. The campground is divided into two levels: the upper level offers expansive views of the 21-mile-long reservoir, while the lower level provides convenient access to the boat launch. All 21 sites feature gravel pads suitable for RVs and tents, with fire rings and picnic tables at each site. Several sites include covered shelters for protection from the elements. The campground terrain is exposed to wind with limited tree cover, typical of the high desert environment surrounding the Seminoe Mountains. Drinking water is available during the summer months at water hydrants throughout the campground. The shoreline near the campground is rocky with steep banks in most areas. The boat ramp at the lower level provides direct access to Seminoe Reservoir for fishing, boating, and water sports. All sites at South Red Hills are reservation-only and can accommodate both RVs and tent campers. The campground offers a more developed camping experience compared to dispersed areas, with maintained facilities and access to vault toilets. The reservoir, formed by the North Platte River and Medicine Bow River, provides opportunities for fishing, boating, and exploring Wyoming's scenic high country.

Directions

Seminoe State Park is located 35 miles north of Sinclair, Wyoming. From Sinclair, take County Road 351 north to reach the park. The South Red Hills Campground is situated within the park, offering access to the Seminoe Reservoir.
