Sunshine Beach Campground is located within Seminoe State Park along the 21-mile-long Seminoe Reservoir in Carbon County, Wyoming. The campground features 38 reservable campsites, including pull-through sites, with access to the best sandy beach areas in the park. The shoreline offers a mix of sandy coves and rocky areas perfect for swimming, fishing, and water activities. The park sits at 6,400 feet elevation and is accessible via the Seminoe-to-Alcova Back Country Byway, requiring travel over 31 miles of rough gravel road from I-80. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and grill. The campground has vault toilets but no drinking water is available on-site, so visitors must bring adequate supplies. The reservoir provides excellent opportunities for boating, fishing for trout, and wildlife viewing, with pronghorn, mule deer, elk, and various bird species commonly spotted in the area.

Directions

Sunshine Beach Campground is located within Seminoe State Park, approximately 35 miles north of Sinclair, Wyoming, off County Road 351. From Sinclair, take County Road 351 northward, following signs to Seminoe State Park. Upon entering the park, follow the main road to the Sunshine Beach area.
