About

Sunshine Beach Campground sits within Seminoe State Park on the northwest shore of Seminoe Reservoir, a 20,000-acre impoundment on the North Platte River in south-central Wyoming. The campground features 38 reservation-only sites and boasts the park's best sandy beach, making it a prime location for swimming, fishing, and water recreation. The reservoir is known for walleye, rainbow trout, brown trout, and smallmouth bass. The park operates 24/7 year-round, with reservations required from May 15 through September 15. During winter months, camping is available via self-registration at fee kiosks. Vault toilets are distributed throughout the park, but potable water is only available at North Red Hills and South Red Hills campgrounds during summer months. Campers at Sunshine Beach should bring their own water supply. A dump station is available within the park for RV waste disposal. Note that Seminoe Reservoir is currently under a Harmful Cyanobacterial Blooms (HCB) advisory. Camping, boating, and fishing remain available, but visitors should exercise caution when in or around the water.
