Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park campground sits at 6,000 feet elevation in a distinctive desert environment where coral-colored sand dunes meet juniper forests and red sandstone cliffs. The 34-site campground is divided into two sections. The old campground offers sites 1-22 as dry camping with single sites at $28 and double sites at $55 per night. The newer campground, sites 23-34, provides water and electric hookups at $45 per night. All campers have access to modern restrooms with hot showers and flush toilets, available year-round. Two dump stations serve RV campers. The park encompasses 3,730 acres of unique geological features where wind-sculpted dunes can shift up to 50 feet per year. These ancient dunes, estimated to be 10,000 to 15,000 years old, provide recreation opportunities for both motorized and non-motorized visitors. About 90 percent of the dunes are open to ATV and OHV riders, making this a premier destination for off-highway vehicle enthusiasts. Non-motorized areas offer excellent hiking, sandboarding, and photography opportunities. The park also features two group campsites accommodating up to 5 camping units each.

Directions

From Interstate 15, take Highway 28 at Nephi to Salina, then Interstate 70 past Richfield to the East Zion/Bryce Canyon exit. Take Highway 89 south to Mt. Carmel Junction. Approximately 5 miles past Mt. Carmel Junction on Highway 89, take the Coral Pink Sand Dunes exit and drive 12 miles west to the park entrance.
